This CC 1400 is in Rotterdam to take down a highrise building. The crane has to lift a plateau with equipment to the top of the building.
The CC 1400 is a fairly unique crane in the way you don't see it very often. It's a 250 ton crane with a maximum boomlength of 138 meter (72m mainboom and 66m fly-jib).
The way the counterweight is build up is strange and it reminds me of a AC 350 SSL. Seen from down to top; first 2 plates weigh 10 ton each, plate 3 weighs 15 ton, blok 1 and 2 weigh 10 ton, block 3 is an additional counterweight which weighs 15 ton. Between the crawlers there is an additional 15 ton counterweight on both sides aswell. This together makes a counterweight of 150 ton!
There is an option for a superlift aswell with a maximum of 160 ton superlift counterweight. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the crane with superlift.
Each crawler weighs 23.5 ton.
This was not the first time I saw this crane, in 2004/2005 it had to demolish a chimney at a reffinery.
