For a new highway viaduct some concrete beams had to be placed. Each beam was 50m long and weighed about 133 ton.
Five beams were placed each night and they were transported by 2x Vd Meijden, 2x Mammoet and Vd Vlist. These beams had to be placed at night because the highway had to be closed. Both AC 650's from Mammoet were rigged to place the beams.
This was the first loaded travel for this brandnew Volvo FH 16 660. The trailer was new aswell existing of: gooseneck-2-3 and 3-4 dolly.
The next week some more beams were placed but this time during daytime. They were placed by a Sennebogen 5500 and the LTM 1400-7.1.
Both cranes lifted the beam from the trailer, the Sennebogen crawled forward while the LTM only slewed.
The Sennebogen was reeved 8 times on a old hookblock from the MDC 3500.
The trucks which brought the beams.
While the LTM 1400-7.1 is in The Netherlands for about half a year this was the first time I saw it in action.
