Early december 2006 the first of the 2 highway bridges near Amsterdam was replaced. The two bridgedecks were build by BSB Steelconstrutions. During the trip to Muiden the decks had to pass several locks and low bridges resulting that the decks had to be placed upright and in a flat position sometimes. Here the first deck was placed in the upright position for the last time.
To upright the bridgedeck Peinemann deployed their AC 650 and the LTM 1500 from Boekestijn. Normally they would've done it with their own LTM 1400-7.1 but it was on an other project. Unfortunately a counterweight truck was parked right infront of the LTM 1500.
The LTM 1500 was fitted with 105 ton counterweight, 7 pieces of 15 ton each.
The AC 650 was fitted with 100 ton counterweight, the base-plate of 20 ton and 8 blocks of 10 ton.
I arrived just to late to see al the lifting work so I had waited to see the cranes in transport.
The next night the bridge would be lifted into place with the AC 650 SL and LTM 1400-7.1. To safe time in the night they decided to already put the superlift on the AC 650.
The driver of the AC 650 drove the crane into a nice position for a good picture.
Then both cranes legt, the LTM 1500 back to the homebase and the AC 650 to a parkinglot.
I want to thank the friendly people from Peinemann and Boekestijn for letting me take pictures without any troubles.
