Gottwald AK 85-53 / RK 100.
This crane started its life as a 80 tonne mobile crane at the German based IMO Merseburg.
Some time later the crane went to the fleet of Seu-M-Imo, a joint-venture between Van Seumeren and IMO.
However the smart people at Van Seumeren came up with a idea to increase its capacity. The crane was taken to De Meern and the superstructure was taken of the SFB carrier.
A crawlercarrier was build and the superstructure was placed ontop. Now the crane was a 100 tonne crane and the RK 100 was born.
After a couple of years of royal service at Van Seumeren the crane was sold to Adrighem & Barnhoorn.
I saw the crane in action in Leiden where it had to lift concrete beams.
Some more pictures.
To close a real Gottwald detail, the way the jip is luffed.
