LTM 1250/1 and LTM 1300 De Kil (Sarens Netherlands).
In August 2005 a steel section had to be lifted in The Hague.
This section was fabricated at the other side of the road under protection of the weather. Then the section is driven to the other side of the road where they do the last ajustments. Now a section was ready so it could be lifted into place, this was done during night time since a busy road had to be closed.
The lifting was done with a LTM 1300 and a LTM 1250/1 which stood in convoy at arrival.
First of all the LTM 1250/1 was rigged with the maximum of 97.5 tonnes counterweight.
Next the section was driven to the LTM 1250/1.
After the section stood in place they could start rigging the LTM 1300 with the maximum of 95 tonnes of counterweight.
After the cranes where build up the 70 tonne section was hooked up and the lifting could begin.
To close a picture with the section hanging above its final place. It was 1 am. and I thought it was time to go home.
